My Diary

Scattered thoughts
and broken words
on weathered pages
from long ago
locked inside
a tiny child
comes alive
her voice
still speaks
a child now gone
entrapped in words
kept away
for me alone
to remember again
that child,
and feel again
those memories
to find again
who I was
to see again
myself
the me
nobody knows

Cleaning up the garden

Bailey! My girl!!

What a beautiful fall day that is today!! We were all out this morning, me cleaning up the garden for fall, Chris splitting and stacking wood, The dogs chewing on sticks! Pansies are one of my favourite flowers. From the first of spring, to the middle of November (and beyond!) They are always cheerful!

Whopee!

I just learned from my dad that I might be inheriting my grandpa's dSLR for Christmas! WOOHOO! I don't remember what it is, I think maybe a Cannon. My grandfather was a professional photographer, so whatever it is, it's definatly a good camera! I can't wait. I've put DSLR for Dummies on my Christmas list, and I'm thinking of taking a photography class in the spring! YAY!

I've always loved taking pictures, when I was a kid I always had a camera! I got kind of out of it, but now it's growing on me again. The lovely ladies at BDW are getting me into this again, and I couldn't be happier!

I love the fall!

I absolutely love the fall! It's my favourite time of year! Since we have moved to the country, I'm finding I love it even more. The feel of crisp sheets that have been out on the line, the smell of the wood fire, and of course, our beautiful trees!

Most of the leaves are off the trees now, but I was able to
capture some pictures of our property in full colour. It was hard to tell what colour our maples would turn when we bought the property, and I think they are gorgeous.

These trees are really old! One of the reasons I fell in love with the property. I love that I can look out any of my windows and not see anyone else. Country. Corn. Woods. Field. PEACE!!

YAY! Now to just work on that camera... all will be good with the world!
